Web Design
Pink Pistols Tucson
Pro bono brand identity and WordPress website for an LGBTQ+ self-defense nonprofit.
The Brief
Pink Pistols Tucson is a local chapter of the national LGBTQ+ self-defense organization, focused on safe and responsible firearm use within the community. The chapter was growing fast and needed a professional web presence and brand identity to recruit members, communicate their mission, and build credibility with partners, on a nonprofit budget.
What I Built
I took this on pro bono. I designed a comprehensive logo system (primary, secondary, one-color, and inverse variations) and delivered a brand toolkit in every format they’d need (PDF, PNG, EPS, AI). Then I built the site: I wrote copy from scratch supplemented by existing leaflets and parent organization content, and customized a WordPress theme with compelling imagery that clearly communicates the mission and makes it easy for new members to get involved.
WordPress site with custom brand identity, compelling imagery, and clear calls to action.
The Result
The chapter went from zero online presence to a complete, professional brand and website. Pro bono work for a cause I believe in, the same quality of design they’d get from a paid engagement, so they could focus their resources on their actual mission.
