Recruitment and hiring analytics platform using predictive intelligence to increase workforce diversity and help veterans transition to civilian careers.
The Client
Lillian is a recruitment platform built on predictive intelligence, designed to increase workforce diversity, help veterans translate military experience into civilian careers, and give small and mid-size businesses a way to identify best-fit talent with over 95% accuracy.
The Problem
Your6 had built powerful hiring technology (skills assessments, predictive matching, veteran transition tools) but it was scattered across disconnected internal tools. Recruiters couldn’t see the full picture. Veterans struggled to translate military skills into language employers understood. And SMBs found the platform too complex to adopt without hand-holding. The company needed all of this pulled together into a coherent product they could take to market.
The Approach
With five distinct user roles and 10 weeks to deliver, I had to be ruthless about prioritization. I started with the site architecture, mapping out how candidates, hiring managers, veterans, admins, and SysOps managers each move through the system, then identifying where their workflows overlap and where they diverge. The key design challenge was making a data-heavy platform feel approachable: skills assessments needed to feel empowering rather than like a test, and the matching system had to surface results that hiring managers trusted enough to act on.
The Solution
I designed clickable prototypes for all five role-based portals. Job candidates were guided through skills assessments and profile building. Veterans got dedicated tools for translating military experience into private-sector language and surfacing their strongest transferable skills. Hiring managers could create job postings that matched candidates based on assessment data and team fit. Admins and SysOps managers were given streamlined tools for developing and managing the proprietary skills matching engine that powered everything.
Candidate portals, SysOps dashboard, and skills engine configuration.
Contribution & Deliverables
The Result
Your6 used the MVP designs to secure private funding and land a government contract, validating the product concept and moving the platform from prototype into active development. The 10-week sprint delivered a complete, investor-ready product vision: five interconnected portals, a unified design system, and a clear roadmap for engineering to build against.
