Jess Courtney

Jess Courtney was a writer ready to launch a coaching business but completely overwhelmed by the business side, the technical side, all of it. She’d been stuck in planning mode, avoiding action, and needed both strategic guidance and a professional home base where potential clients could learn about her offerings beyond in-person events.

I worked with Jess over 12 weeks as her business coach, helping her define her market, structure her programs and pricing, build confidence, and create focused implementation plans. On the design side, she’d started a Squarespace site but abandoned it when things got overwhelming. I cleared the slate, started with a fresh install, and built a clean, typography-driven site with lifestyle photography, a contact form, blog, and mailing list integration. Jess was a strong writer, so the copy only needed polishing and sharpening for conversion, not a full rewrite.

Jess launched with a site she was genuinely proud of, proud enough to get business cards printed and start actively marketing. She landed her first client shortly after launch and within a few months was running a group program and leading workshops at Powell’s Books.
