From idea to MVP & launch - This is my specialty! UX & UI design for web or mobile applications, suggested versioning plans, user onboarding considerations and more. I can assist with UX research & strategy or simply design based on research you provide.
In addition to designing prototypes, wireframes, user flows and iterative feature comps for the Alma learning management and student information platform, I work with the product team on strategy & implementation support, provide creative direction for all brand materials and designed the getalma.com marketing site.
Different users have different needs so our app utilizes role-based workflows. This means designing things multiple times, but it’s ultimately a better experience for our schools.
In my first year we redesigned the app from the ground up – including more than 100 features – that’s a lot of user flows!
We’ve taken an innovative approach to design, adding time-saving enhancements and bringing data forward to provide insight where possible.
After earning a BFA in graphic design, I started my career working for Nike. While I loved the design culture, I loved tech more and left the berm to earn an MBA in Marketing & move to Silicon Valley to work as a product manager at a mobile startup. While the bay area wasn't a fit, I've been working with startups and new businesses since -- I love helping companies grow, and I can't imagine only doing one type of design job every day!
I am also a photographer, an animal lover, a volunteer, a constant learner, a world-traveller, an organizer, an artist, an avid reader and, at the core, a problem solver – I thrive when I can observe, analyze, organize and take projects apart only to put them together in a new and creative way.
I live and work (remotely) in Savannah, GA but travel whenever possible! In January 2017, I will be departing the US for 12-months abroad with Remote Year, spending every month in a new city. To share the journey, follow me on Instagram. For more travel photos and inspiration on how to move through fear, self-doubt, burnout, perfectionism or addiction to create a more joyful, wholehearted life, visit my new venture, Eat, Pray, Love to Travel.
